My Weekly Post

I've been feeling a little pressure from the 'ole blog lately...hence, my every other day posting turning more into once a week. Not sure why. Maybe it's writers block or the fact that Little Dog leaves me less and less time to blog now that he is trying to climb stairs and army crawling like the speed of lighting.

We have been busy, nonetheless! Had to drop the crib to its lowest level this weekend since M has figured out how to pull himself up on furniture (or the dishwasher or whatever). He is VERY proud of himself...and will predictably look around to everyone in the room for applause each time he does it. Are we creating a first-born or what? Not sure how we can help it.

Michael and I managed to escape this weekend for a date night. We had dinner at the Downwind at PDK Airport. It's agreeably our new favorite place. We had both been for work lunches but never dinner. Our meals were surprisingly tasty and the drinks were awesome...probably had a lot to do with the fact we were watching the sun set while on a cool patio that practically sits on the runway. Plus, Michael is just a little into aviation. We returned home to find that my mom and dad managed to get Little Dawg to sleep! A true miracle! He usually stays up waiting for us despite multiple attempts from the babysitters to get him to go down. Guess he's afraid he's gonna miss something exciting if he actually goes to sleep without us there.

No fancy What's-In-The-Crockpot meal this week. Threw a some turkey and carrots in the crock pot last night so we could watch the Big Brother 11 finale. It is one of the only reality TV shows we still follow. Ugh...we both vow to stay away next season. What ever happened to good, old fashioned sit-coms anyway?!
