Half. A. Year!!!! Absolutely unbelievable. I can't believe Little Dog has been with us for six months already. Several people have told me that when you have kids the days seem long but the years feel short. That description couldn't be more true.
We have come a long way in six months, all of us. I have been trying my best to soak it all in as much as possible - snuggling every chance I get, admiring him while he is sleeping, paying attention to the sounds of his laughs and giggles, trying to ingrain a permanent picture in my head of what he looks like with his butter ball thighs and fine, light brown hair sprouting on the top of his head.
Mike and I often talk about how we think we can't possible love him any more then we do at this moment...and then we do! It grows and grows and grows! And just when you don't think he can get any cuter...he does that too!
4 months old

6 months old

No stats yet. Our six month doctor's appt isn't until almost three weeks after his birthday. Shucks! My guess is that he will be weighing in at a hefty and strong 20 lbs!
A few tidbits about M at six months:
- Eating solid foods twice a day (loves sweet potatoes and pears. hates chicken and peaches.)
- Just switched from breast milk to formula (and doesn't seem to mind a bit)
- Still takes three naps a day (two short and one long usually)
- Goes to bed around 7 each night. Walks up at 5:30 AM for a bottle and back down for another hour.
- Loves to "talk"
- Is VERY smiley. Smiles at EVERYONE.
- Is getting mobile very quickly. He scoots and army crawls...but mostly rolls where he wants to go.
- Can sit up unassisted for a few seconds before he topples over.
- Has started slapping his right hand on the floor, the table, your shoulder, anything that is there!
Happy birthday, baby boy!
